Exciting times again!

Well, by now you know, or at least heard about "Jamaica50" right?

It is a huge national celebration and commemoration of Jamaica's fiftieth (50) years of independence (We became independent from Britain in 1962 - August 6th).

So what are we doing on My-Island-Jamaica.com?

Thanks to an excellent suggestion from Valrose (another ardent subscriber) we are hosting a GRAND "Jamaica 50" contest!

It's going to be BIG considering the succeses we've had in the past with contests!

And here's how YOU come in!

We'll need:

1. Entrants

   Well that's kinda automatic :-) I expect you, and indeed all my other subscribers to take part OK :-)

2. Guest Judges

   I already have a few persons but wanted to give at least one of my subscribers the opportunity. Let me know if you'd like to be one.

3. Co-Sponsors

   There will be an instant cash prize! But we welcome additional sponsorship -small or large; cash or kind.

   The more sponsors, the more gifts we'll be able to give, and the merrier the contest :-)

   Of course, sponsors will get more than their full share of advertising and promotion with a great brand. If you are interested, or you know someone who is, interested in partnering, please let me know asap!

Again, it's going to be simple, contributors (entrants) will show or share their appreciation of Jamaica- in whatever written form they prefer- essay, poem, article etc.
