Intro

-------------------------

Hi there!

I've finally gotten some much needed rest.
Correction: Not really rest, but some time-off from my day job.

I had two weeks to recoup and rejuvenate for the next big projects: year-end at work, website updates, and the next module at school.

In fact, I just came back from a week's stay in the US where I had loads of fun.

Would you believe me if I tell you I almost overlooked this subscription? I certainly could not afford that :-)

Anyways, lots to share this round again. The latest on (from) Jamaica, the website, some Jamaican Jokes, plus some insight into my US trip.

So without any hesitation ...let's get rolling!

This was supplied by the Leyden brothers in 1893. Power was generated from a plant which had a huge furnace and boiler.

Logwood, which was a major export of the parish, was used to generate steam from the engine which provided the power.
