Hello there,

Most of the camping that takes place in Jamaica today seems to be concentrated around the Blue Mountain area. Some hotels offer that service to guests for a fee too but prior confirmation would be suggested.

Some of the notable companies/institutions that offer these services are:

1) Bangor Ridge Wilderness Retreat

... on the Porland side of the Blue Mountains (960-6685). True wilderness style, the site offers services tents, cabin (sleeps 4), beds, outdoor cooking, showers, laundry area and bathrooms. Meals are served on requested.

2) The Jamaica Conservation and Development Trust (JCDT)

...a government agency, also in the blue mountain area, offers similar services. I would suggest you contact them at (876) 960-2848/9 or http://www.greenjamaica.org.jm for more information and direction.


3) Roots Bamboo Beach Resort in Negril:
