In 2007 I stayed in Negril for a period of three months and enjoyed it thoroughly! But, as my Jamaican hubbie would say "all inclusive..."
I also experienced Hurricane Dean that brushed Jamaica that summer. On August 17, 2007, the evening before the storm hit I made this serene picture of the famous lighthouse in Negril, with signs of what was to come already to be seen in the evening sky....
Although I always wanted to experience such a weather phenomenon and the force of nature, going through it, even though it was not a full hit, this severe weather was very impressive and a little scary.
During the storm we could not get out so I didn't get any pictures of the storm itself.
However it hasn't scared me away and since then Jamaica is my second home and I love it as much as my home country.
I hope our son will come to love it as much as I do! There is so much to do and see and Negril especially is such a laid back place to be, I haven't traveled anywhere else since!
