can I spend my jamaican money in the us

QUESTION:I have a Jamaican 5 dollar coin, can I spend it in the USA or is it just good in Jamaica?

Hi Rebecca,
I doubt you'll be able to spend that in the USA - unless it is at a Jamaican establishment or if someone choose to trade it with you for their souvenir collection.
At today's rate (84JA to 1USD) the JA$5 is worth only USD$0.0595. I doubt that is worth any effort to get it spent.
