Located in the Hills of Ocho Rios stood a back to nature adventure like no other where beauty is at its best and you enjoy the many tours and attractions in an affordable package.

Flying through trees, going swimming, river tubing, getting covered in mud is just a few things adventure lovers will enjoy when they visit Chukka Caribbean Adventures.

It was a day to remember in November 2009 on my visit to the Chukka Caribbean Adventure in Ocho Rios. Adorn with beauty all around and a spectacular view of the property, anxiety struck.

The flower, the landscape not to mention the lovely faces of the workers on property, was a very welcoming experience.

They assisted us in getting organized every step of the way and ensure that we are comfortable. (Customer service at its best). We all got comfortable and were ready to get started on all the attractions on property.

I was in the first batch to enjoy the scenic view and the wonderful Dune Buggy ride, the best of all the tours in my eyes and some of my coworkers. We started out with a briefing from the staffs, what to do and not to do and a brief history of what the tour entails.

We went through some rough and winding roads but it was fun. This tour is for those who want to go off road for a bumpy, dusty, dirty ride in your Chukka Dune Buggy which is designed for only two passengers.

We traveled through the depths of the rainforest and through thick tropical foliage. Going through the hills and through the orchards where we had true Jamaica refreshment (freshly picked oranges) as we view the countryside from the Old Pimento House. Through our tour we were told to look out for rare exotic birds.

The Old Pimento (All Spice) house is located at the top where we were above sea level. There was a fascinating view of the countryside. Our refreshment there was true Jamaican Beverage (Sugar and water), oh how refreshing.

Travelling down after the tour we could view the long stream of pure rushing water where the rest of our friends would be enjoying the ride of the tubes downstream.

We could also hear the screams of our friends sliding across the zip line (Oh they were all cowards). They were all strapped up and ready to explore the rides.

Wow look at the smiles, it was a blast. They were bragging and boasting of the fun they had on the zip line. I was feeling left out on the fun, but I was scared of heights. Can?t wait to go back to enjoy all the tours this time.

After that, it was the time for the nerve racking river tubing down the river. The experience tubing guides took the guys on a breathtaking three mile journey down the White River.

This river is not only known for its beauty but also as the dividing line between two of the most beautiful parishes in Jamaica, St. Mary & St. Ann.
It was fun filled, feeling the changing pace and moods of the river while going through the plantations and the bamboo groves along the river banks. Enjoying many challenges but enduring the secrets of the tours was the expression on the faces at the end of the tour.

And for everyone who is scared of the river tubing, zip-lining and driving on the buggy, don?t worry the action does not stop there. You can always enjoy the quietness of the stream and go for a dip or a dive.

When it comes to beauty and enjoying value for your money, there is not a better place to be than enjoying a great adventure through lush jungle in the heart of the spectacular Cranbrook Flower Forest -- leads to the start of the unforgettable Chukka Adventure.
