Food and Beverage Director Needed
Food and Beverage Director
We are looking for individuals who are strategic, proactive and who have a proven track record in both sales and food and beverage management.
Applicants need to evidence strong revenue and budget management skills and have a creative flair for event planning, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate effective leadership.
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
Plans, organizes, directs, controls and evaluates the execution of all fine-dining restaurant services Works in conjunction with Director of Sales and Catering, the Executive Chef and the General Manager to ensure that all member and guest dining expectations are anticipated and exceeded
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Food and Beverage Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of food, wine, liquors and 5 Star Service along with A la Carte fine-dining restaurant and catering experience, including solid knowledge of production techniques.
Member Service Orientation:
Strong ability to design, organize and deliver impeccable and timely service to all members. Strong attention to detail.
Motivational Leadership Skills:
Ability to motivate staff to achieve greater results while fostering a culture of teamwork and harmony within and outside own department.
Financial acumen:
Proven experience managing a departmental budget and labor cost for a staff of 35+ people. Ability to create a realistic budget and manage to it.
Human Resources Knowledge:
Proven superior training, mentoring, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Restaurant POS competency:
Solid knowledge of Food and Beverage POS system to process sales, track sales revenues and perform analysis reports.
Quality Leader:
Ability to maintain and improve overall quality standards
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
* 8-10 years of management experience in 4 or 5 Star Property are required. Progressive industry accomplishments preferred. * Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college degree or university – Hospitality Management preferred.
