Ideal Gift For A Jamaican Family

(Canada)

QUESTION about: Gift To Bring To Jamaica

We will be hosted by a famous family in Jamaica, and I want to bring a gift from California, what are some ideas? Would wine from Napa Valley California be appropriate?

ANSWER: by Shaniel Jackson, Feb 2016

Hi there!

I think so! For a celebrity family, I'm pretty sure that they will sure appreciate the wine especially if they are collectors of wines... just make sure it is a premium brand.

They might also be appreciative of simple jewelry as well as portraits.

And if you are looking for something on a gender basis, consider this..

For the madam of the household, a custom charm necklace could be well received. A male would probably settle for a nice watch.

Ideally though, makes sure that the gift matches their taste.

And if you know that they have a liking for a particular sports/team, hobby or vocation, that might be even better; just get them something with that theme.

If it is an elderly person, they will usually appreciate something that they can look at and cherish for a while. A simple thing as even a photo album that can showcase photos of several generations would be great.

Other things like walker, crochets etc, which provides help with their mobility, might also be appropriate.

Of course, for teenagers and young adults, I would recommend electronics and clothing, usually something in trend.

The average Jamaican however, will appreciate most things.

Remember that the key to gift giving is that it comes from... THE HEART.

And if persons know that they will, almost always, appreciate it :-)
