The Wellingtons'

I am a Wellington as well. My grandfather was Lester Wellington probably borned somewhere around 1910 To 1920s. I lived in Golden Spring.

any luck with tracing wellingtons?

Hi so im still looking to trace my grandmother Adina Thomas. As previously mentioned. But looking for my Wellington roots mainly. My Grandad WILFRED WELLINGTON, Lived in the country in pines hill near Orange hill st Catherines, not westmoreland.

He cultivated tobbacco, with his brothers Arthur, Earnest, and barsy? He also had sisters named Kya and milly Wellington, his mothers name was ireene, and his fathers name WALTER WELLINGTON. ireene later married an ARCHER and had a son named Danny, know locally later as MANMAN. My grandad WILFRED WELLINGTON died at the young age of 37 in 1949. He was married to Fema Brown, And they had several children named Sylvie, Clarice, Faye, Biggie joe, Lurline, and Gertrude , All Wellingtons. My father Sydney also a Wellington was born out of wedlock to Adina Thomas of Rennals linstead, at around the same time as Sylvie in 1936 (tuttut) but so it go.

Adina then lived and died in Sunnyside avenue linstead st catherines. If anybody has any information what so ever please leave a message here I would be most greatful. Thankyou, Dionne Wellington.

i know my mother came to england wen she was 17 with her auntie here names elaine ivory deer (changed since then to farr)she never told us much about that side of my family just dont feel like i know myself as dnt even know wat roots om from confused anyone can help please

Wellingtons

Not a common Name in Jamaica. Lots of Wellington in the area of St. Andrew. My Grandmother is a Wellington from that area of Lawrence Tavern and Above Rocks, and Caveliers.
Just doing the Wellingtons, so I don't have any other details, but that which is related to my immediate family.

I am trying to track my heritage also. since Wellington is not a common Jamaican name. I know my grandfather name is Vincent Wellington that as far as i know. Do you know of a Vincent Wellington in your family history? he was born around 1920's.

i now know that my nan married a man with the sirname Mcleary,thats why people called her mrs Mack. so people might know her as Adina McCleary ??
