Sangster's Jamaican Rum Cream
Question That is great rum! I brought some back from Jamaica.
However, we ordered some online from red pepper mall and never got the rum although it was taken out of our account.
I called the number and left messages. No one ever contact me regarding our order. What should we do? It’s been a while now. How should I go about getting my rum or my money back? We’ll be returning to Jamaica soon.
Answer by Wellesley Gayle 9/24/08 Updated! - See new Comments belowHello there! I didn't get your name, but thanks for your question. I am really sorry though to hear about your plight though. I just went to the site you mentioned. They are showing that the product is out of stock, that might have been part of the problem but that is no excuse though, they really should have returned your calls. I personally is not sure what is the next step but I will leave your question open here to anyone who may have an input or suggestion. And yes, the Sangster's Jamaican Rum is great!

(Usa)
Question:
I am doing a report on Jamaican cream rum, and was just wondering why it is not available in the usa? thank you.
Answer: March-04-2009 by Wellesley Gayle Hi Claudia! I am pretty positive it is available in the US. I guess it my be just where it can be found and/or the scale of it. If you have any Jamaican friend, you may want to touch base with them. Chances are they might be able to inform you where to get it. All the best with your report. car financing in jamaica
by Primrose Skinner
(Canada)
Question
I live in Canada and my fiancee lives in Jamaica and we would like to buy a car how do we go about getting a car financed in Jamaica using my income also?
Answer: by W.Gayle, Jan 12, 2009 Hi Prim, Sorry, I am not very knowledgeable about those things, but I think it might be a bit tricky if proof of income is outside the country. I would suggest you contact one of the local dealers for more information. You can start with my page on Car Dealers in Jamaica. I have phone numbers there as well.

Expiration of Jamaican Rum Cream
by Frank
Expiration of Jamaican rum cream
Question:
how long does unopened bottles of rum cream last? I found a couple bottles from about 3 years ago.
Answer by W.Gayle, Feb 08, 2009 Hi Frank, I was told that they last a while, but eventually the cream may coagulate or the taste might deteriorate. Basically, the rum acts as some sort of preservative, but it depends on the proportion, and the brand. If you don't see an expiration date, then 2-3 years may be a reasonable time. I'm hoping to get some feedback from my other valued visitors. Keep in touch! Related Question: Sangster's Rum Cream

Sangster's Orange (Ortanique) Liquer
by C J
(Augusta, GA)
QUESTION:.
I visited Ocho Rios and stayed at the Sand Castle Resort.
The bartender gave me a shot of orange liqueur called Old Sangster's Ortanique. How might I purchase this in the United States? Also I have a friend coming via cruise line to Jamaica. Is this available in any shops in Ocho Rios?
ANSWER: July-14-2009 by Wellesley Gayle
Hi CJ,
I actually called the Sand Castle Hotel yesterday to find out about this one but the bartender (at the pub bar) was not aware.
Today I called both Wray and Nephew (876 923-6140) - the bottlers, and Lascelles (876-923-9231) - the distributors.
They confirmed that they had this product, named Sangster's Ortanique Liqueur, but no longer bottles nor distributes it.
It seems you might have just been lucky then to get what could possibly be one of the last remaining bottles.
Your friend coming in Ocho Rios could still try the shops though; he or she might just be lucky too.
Having said that, I doubt it will be available in the US, but then again, you never know.
I hope that helps.
Stay in touch CJ.
