You’ve worked all year long with pretty much little rest. You’ve hardly taken a sick day and the weekends fly by as though by accident. 

You have to juggle work, home (kids) and probably school. You didn't even get the chance to honeymoon because those responsibilities are a priority. 

Its time you took the break you need, the break you crave! Whether it’s just you and your spouse, or the entire family, its time to pack your bags and take a trip on the ‘Irie" side! its time to come to Jamaica!!

Who doesn't need a little pampering every now and then? Who doesn't crave a little tranquility one day and a little adventure the next! After all, as far as we know it, we only live once, right? 

If you think Jamaica can't get any better with what it has naturally, then you thought wrong, because I’m about to tell you about the paradises in Paradise! 

I personally have had the experience of enjoying a more than a few getaways in this getaway Island that I live in, and boy can I say, there’s no regret!

When it comes to hospitality, Jamaica has earned its bragging rights. One of the ways it has maintained its spot in the limelight, is providing a large number of luxury included resorts. No, I’m not just talking about a fancy buildings with a lovely rooms and comfy beds to sleep in.

I’m talking about waking up and looking out your french doors to see the ocean, steps away from the beach, eating regal meals, butler service, Jacuzzi in your room, spending a day being pampered at the spa etc; that's the type of luxury I speak of.

Basically, there are two types, Family Oriented & Adult Only.

Family & Friends Vacation

As a child growing up and living in Montego Bay, it was hard to miss the beautiful hotels and resorts on the Hip Strip or driving pass Rose Hall. I would fantasize about vacationing in one of these resorts when I grew up, but lucky for me, I didn't have to wait very long.

I was a teen when I had my first resort experience and it was at the Wyndham Rose Hall (now Hilton Rose Hall). It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen! From the moment you pass through their gates, you've entered paradise.

The vast lawn was well manicured and the perfume of various flowers and plants seem to say “ forget about your troubles…just relax…”

If you’re looking for an all inclusive family and friends vacation outside of the hustle and bustle of a busy town, but still want to be close enough to do a little shopping and night life then the Hilton Rose Hall at the top of my list. The luxurious resort is located 15-20 mins away from the airport, in beautiful and lush Rose Hall.

The rooms are upscale and the service is great, but the icing on the cake would be their Sugar Mill Water Park! I’ve climbed to the top of the tower slice a million times and didn't realize the amount of exercise I was getting because I was having so much fun.

Even as an adult, I still get excited and would recommend anyone to get even a day pass to experience it.

If you have kids and want to vacation with them without feeling like you're at a kids resort. If you want enjoy gourmet cuisines, unlimited premium brand beverages and unlimited non-motorized water and land sports, then Hilton Rose Hall hits the jackpot! 

And if you are looking to be minutes away from shopping and night life? Do you want to take long walks on the beach and be able to see breathe taking sunsets? Do you want to be in a family environment where the kids feel its just as much their vacation as it is yours? Then Beaches Negril is the place to go!

Or would you prefer to be in the mecca of Jamaica’s attractions, to enjoy a private white sand beach or to be a short drive away from a state of the art golf course where everyone in the family can enjoy a game of golf, then Beaches Ocho Rios is for you!

Adults Only - Luxury Hotels Jamaica

And for adults-only hotels, we have another host of gems here, but my personal favourite (sorry I have to be a little subjective now) is the Sandals Resort chain - they have some of the most amazing experiences in Jamaica, and by extension, the entire Caribbean. These are some of the favourites:

• Sandals Ocho Rios
• Sandals Whitehouse
• Sandals Mobay
• Sandals Negril

But Sandals resorts are not the only ones in Jamaica. Here are other luxury adults only resorts.

If you are visiting Montego Bay specifically, these luxury resorts are a great option, or maybe Negril is your destination of choice?
