Help please, beginning my genealogy journey!
by: Anonymous

Hi everyone,

I hope this is not taken as gate crashing but I am curious to know about the history behind the McNab name in JA. Especially as there is such a strong link to Lucea, Hanover which is where my Mother is from.

Any information at all going as far back as possible would be very much appreciated.

Better still if I gave over the particulars of my connection to the McNab name I'd love to see how we fit into the tree-which would also determine how far back to go!

I'm really not sure if this thread is still going but I'm putting it out there.

Thank you in advance if you are able to help.

Lo from the UK.

Do you have more information on the census for Hanover?

Thanks for linking me on your page.

I am still on the quest for family information. Are you still in contact with Allie Mc Nab?

Mc Nabs of Hanover
by: GAMI

Hi,
This message is for the person, whose name is Trench. I saw some connections with Mc Nab and Trench family, would love to know more of what you know.

All relations are welcome, but it helps if you know some of your own history or connection, as I am really researching Mc Nabs and their direct relations.

Feel free to contribute anything you know to the Family Tree.

Thanks,

GAMI

Related to McNab
by: Thesia Trench

The Trench of Burnside/Eaton are closely related to the McNabs esp. those in the Dias/Kingsvale area

Baby Mc..... as he is affectionately called
Clifford McNab (deceased)
Percival McNab
...................and a host of others

Ps. there is a student currently at the University Of Technology whose name is Shyoka McNab...... when questioned about our relations it was determined that her father is from Hanover so the possiblities exist.

Good luck

Mc Nab Family Re-union August 2010
by: GAMI

Hello,
Not too good to be true.
Decided it was time. So many of our elders have passed on, with more information than we can get by looking at records.

So, I took the initiative to start gettin in touch with others, who may want to do this.

Please let me know what information you have on the family history.

Again, All Mc Nabs are welcome, but it would be helpful if you could contact me or any one else on this blog about your family details

More to come!
