Miyard Resort is on West End Road, not far past Negril Basic School. There are four rooms and two cottages. I love the upstairs room closest to the sea.
From the porch there's a nice view of the sea across the street. There is a small beach across the street where fishermen gather with their catch and you can buy directly from them.
Swimming is great here and there are a few coral heads that make snorkeling fun.
Miyard's rooms are basic but comfortable. One room has A/C the others are ceiling fan cooled. I stay there in the summer and am comfortable.
Miyard is also famous for its all night bar scene. The kitchen never closes and features "fast food" Jamaica style: tuna fritters, breadsticks (festival), plantains, fried tuna, salt fish, and also plate dinners and sandwiches.
Delroy Johnson, the owner, is a wonderful host and will do everything he can to make your stay enjoyable.
