Usain Bolts Track and Records Sports lounge was officially launched on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, by our own Jamaican, and world sprinting sensation himself - Usain Bolt!

According to the news reports, it is a US$1-million investment that will be modern, sophisticated, high energy, explosive and fun.

They are even considering making it an international franchise, with an immediate branch in London for the 2012 Olympics!

The layout of the lounge will be similar to that of a stadium, complete with a mezzanine, multiple bars, interactive booth seating, and a retail shop carrying Usain Bolt products and memorabilia.

It will be located next to Fiction at Market Place and is scheduled to be opened in the last quarter of 2010. Bolt appeared to be very excited about the deal.

According to reports, his manager, Norman Peart, said Bolt's transition in to the world of business was to ensure that the millions he's earning now keep coming in when he's retired. He added that his mandate was always been to ensure that when he's finished with the sport, he's looking real good.

The venture is backed by Kingston Live Entertainment (KLE), the company behind the successful Fiction lounge at Market Place on Constant Spring Road.

Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records will boast the best of brand Jamaica in sports, music, art, culture, beverage and food," said Tina Matalon, one of the directors.

"Using, arguably, the most recognizable figure in sports today as a vehicle to create a global brand, Tracks & Records will bring to the world a product that is contemporary, sophisticated and exciting."
