Whispering Bamboo Cove Hotel near Morant Bay

We have had two week long stays at the Whispering Bamboo.

For the first one I felt like a guest...for the second, I felt like family.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. The food is terrific; some meals were made especially at my request.

How do you thank the workers for taking extra care of you? One man brought me a small bunch of bananas from his home...and a peeled coconut.

It is a small, 12 room facility that is run by the owner. The rooms are airconditioned with satellite television. The grounds are beautifully, but quite naturally landscaped.

There is a beach that is very private (not sugary sands, but all right for a lovely swim in late afternoon.) There are no beach chairs or umbrellas.

In the late evenings we like to sit on the gazebo and drink some rum or a Red Stripe. The waitresses served our dinner out there for us, always with a smile.
