Contest Entry #009 - Woodford, Jamaica - The Perfect place for tea
This photo was taken in the summer of 2011 the community of Woodford, high up in the blue mountains up from Papine and Kingston.
To get here you take a long winding narrow road and when you reach, the temperature here is always cool and the clouds seem to always gently roll over the mountain peaks.
What a perfect seating area with a great view. I enjoyed drinking my morning tea here as this photo was taken at the home of my second Jamaican host family that helped me learn about Jamaican life before starting my Peace Corps volunteer service on the north coast.
This picture makes me remember the initial feelings I had when coming to Jamaica, everything was new and stunning!
Jamaica still is a stunning place, and I sure to discover new things all the time, but there is nothing like those first few days here, soaking it all up :)
