Intro
-------------------As you know, this December is traditionally a very busy month for everyone, but it was awfully busy for me.
From helping to plan my family reunion and my daughter's school Christmas party [see a pic here], to my annual Community Christmas Treat.
It was quite a handful!
In all that though- and my day regular job, I still found time to keep the site fresh! So without saying anything else...
...lets get rolling!

Gov't Moves to Promote E-Transactions
There is now a major thrust by the government to get Jamaica into the 'digital society'.There is a range of commercial and e-transaction services under a new pilot initiative. Five post offices in rural areas were selected to introduce the program. More on this story here.
Plaque Unveiled to Memorialize Slaves Thrown Overboard!
"A plaque was unveiled at the Black River market in St. Elizabeth on December 28 to memorialize the 133 live African slaves who were thrown from the British slave ship, the Zong, in 1781."
