A Collection Of Jamaican Herbs and Their Benefits Listed

Jamaican medicinal herbs collection

Question from Den, Boston, Massachusetts, USA:

"You have featured a lot of beneficial herbs on your YouTube channel. Is there a site where readers could read up on the different types of herbs, their benefits, and usage instructions? Example: Guinea hen powder. Thank you."

Answer by Wellesley:

Hey Den, glad you asked! You're definitely not alone —I've had so many people from the diaspora and even right here in Jamaica ask about a central place to learn more about the herbs I feature on YouTube. And yes, there’s good news: I’ve actually compiled a comprehensive resource on my website that lists over 101 of Jamaica’s most powerful medicinal herbs, including their scientific names, benefits, and how they’re traditionally used.

That includes well-known ones like guinea hen weed (which I personally use and highly recommend), soursop leaves, dog blood, and cerasee — but also some lesser-known gems like shame old lady, trumpet leaf, jackanna bush and pepper elder. You’ll even find links to my YouTube videos right on that page, so you can watch and learn as you go.

The page is called 101 Medicinal Herbs of Jamaica, and I keep updating it as we explore new herbs and healing plants from all over the island.

Whether you're looking for a remedy to boost your immune system or just curious about traditional Jamaican bush medicine, this is the place to start.

So yes Den, that guide will answer your questions and more. And if you want to go even deeper, I also have an eBook titled "101 Amazing Wellness Secrets From Jamaica" that shares some of our natural healing wonders in one easy resource you can download and keep.

Thanks again for following along, and blessings on your health journey!
