A Dream, Years In The Making - Awakened By A Storm

If you’ve been with me on this journey -  through the website since 2007, through the videos on my YouTube channel, or inside the JamHearts family - you probably know this already:

I love my country, and helping Jamaicans has always been part of my heartbeat.

For years, I’ve quietly assisted wherever I could:

• a roof patch here,
• a grocery bag there,
• a school fee paid for a child,
• a community initiative supported…

But it was always informal - just me doing what I could, when I could.

Then came Hurricane Melissa… and everything changed.

• Walking through communities torn apart…
• Seeing families standing where their houses used to be…
• Watching elders sleep outside with no roof to shelter them…
• Listening to people whisper that they feel forgotten…

My heart shifted.

And as I shared these stories online, many of you responded with love, prayers, encouragement, and donations from all across the world.

That’s when the message became clear ✨:

Today, with full conviction and a grateful heart,

I’m officially introducing: 
THE MY ISLAND JAMAICA FOUNDATION - Hope Begins Here!

A registered nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Jamaicans wherever the need is - whether it's rebuilding after hurricanes, helping children with education, feeding families, supporting the elderly, or lifting up communities that are quietly struggling.

This has been a dream for years, but Hurricane Melissa made it urgent.
And you made it possible.

Why This Foundation Matters

Our First Mission...

We begin right where the hurt is the deepest. With families who lost everything. This first project focuses on:

• repairing damaged roofs
• rebuilding homes
• supplying food and essentials
• restoring dignity
• bringing hope back to my home community.
