  • What Timezone does Jamaica Uses?

Jamaica uses Eastern Standard Time. Jamaica does not observe Daylight Savings Time. Some prefers to use GMT -5.

  • When is lobster season in Negril?

The lobster season in Negril is the same season for the entire Jamaica. Everytime of the year is lobster season, except from April 1 to June 30 each year when the season is closed.

You should not buy fresh lobster during this time. Established restaurants make the necessary arrangements with the government authorities in order to serve lobster during this time, so it's quite okay to enjoy lobster meals in these places.

The official language of Jamaica is English, but the Jamaican "Patois" or local creole- is spoken throughout the island.

No. And I may just add as well that not all Jamaican are Rastas, neither are all Rastas Jamaican.
