Cash App at Jamaican Stores or Resorts

"Hello, I saw your response to a previously posted question regarding Cash App not being accepted in JA, however, it is accepted by certain merchants who choose to take it. I've used my Cash App card several times in Jamaica at not only resorts but various other 'outside' merchants—just not street vendors. Thank you 😊"

While it's true that Cash App as a service isn't officially supported in Jamaica the way it is in the U.S., your point about the debit card is a good one.

If someone has the Cash App debit card (the one linked to their account), then yes, they may be able to use it at any terminal in Jamaica that accepts international Visa cards—and that includes resorts, some supermarkets, restaurants, and even a few private shops that are card-friendly. But as you noted, it’s unlikely to work with roadside vendors or places that are strictly cash-based.

I always encourage visitors to travel with a mix of payment options anyway—because depending on the area or business, acceptance can vary widely. And your experience is a perfect example of how it’s always good to try but be prepared.
