Bath and Massage in the river
by: Louisiana Lady

If I remember correctly, I had a wonderful and warm massage in the springs themselves (as opposed to the hotel nearby).

I took a cab ride from the Whispering Bamboo hotel to the gates of the springs location. There I met a very nice masseur, nicknamed "Big Foot". The walk over unimproved paths inhabited by goats and chickens (No problem, man...)was very close to nature.

The springs flow through a pebble lined ravine with steep walls covered with thick, green vegetation. One feels so close to nature there. I was lucky to have chosen a weekday so I was the only person around, yet felt completely at ease.
This is indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I recommend it to all visitors to the southeast shore area.
