Jamaica is home to scores of car dealers, and we stock from the most economical to the most luxurious anywhere in the word!

Of course we don't make cars so they are all imported. The majority of cars are currently purchased from Japan, Singapore, United States of America, United Kingdom and Thailand.

Customers can choose from a wide selection, which includes, sedans, pick-ups, buses, minivans, SUVs and trucks.

That said, the majority of the car dealer sales are from mid-size sedans, such as Toyota Corollas and most sales are from used or pre-owned cars.

There are also dealers who form Joint Venture (JV's) and Franchise partnerships with the makers/suppliers, and therefore stock limited brands; for example, Toyota Jamaica - for Toyota, Appliance Traders for Honda, and Stewart's Motor Sales for Mitsubishi and Benz.

For the most part though, there is a very wide cross section of suppliers across the island.

Here a listing of some of the main car dealers in Jamaica.

There services extend wider that just vehicles sales though; some offer a number of peripheral services to their customers.

These are intended to differentiate the core service while enhancing and building customer service.

Financing for a new vehicle, for example, can be done through the dealer or through the dealers by financial institutions.

Also, although not as popular, insurance services may also be provided by the dealers who partner with the top insurance companies. They also tend to offer after sales support and mechanical services.

Please note that all bonafide Jamaican car dealers are certified by the Ministry of Commerce & Technology.

The Jamaica Used Car Dealers Association is currently the representative body. They represent the industry on governmental matters such as policy review, formulation and modification.

There is no minimum amount requirement to become a Jamaican car dealer.
