Junction Early Childhood Institution (ECI) hosted, for the first time in its existence of 43yrs, a 'Careers Day'.
The proceedings began with usual devotions under the theme 'We are a chosen generation'. The school currently houses 9 classrooms accommodating 177 students.
The days event was well attended with students decked in uniforms representing a wide cross sector of the varying professions. Below are a few of the pics! Scroll below and click play to watch video as well.
The staff at the institution wishes to thank all the guest speakers who took time out of their busy schedule to make the event a worthwhile success,(Retired teacher Mrs. Donet Neil, nurse Francis- Junction health center & principal Mr. Cameron - Bull Savannah primary and infants department).
Special thanks to the police officers from the Junction police station for empowering the youngsters with a role play as they demonstrated the strategies of good policing, (right vs wrong) actions of the police.
Update: Special thanks to the team of officers Sgt. D. Bennett and Con. R. Williams from the Road Safety Education Unit at Traffic Headquarters in Kingston for carrying out their duty in the most efficient and edifying manner after missing yesterday's career day event.We applaud you officers for work well done.
