As part of celebrations to mark, here in Jamaica,International Year of Statistics 2013, the inaugural JAMAICA STATISTICS SYMPOSIUM 2013 will be held from October 23-25, 2013 in Kingston, Jamaica.

The theme for the meeting is "Making sense of data: understanding data to inform decision making".

We will use this meeting to highlight the appropriate use of statistical methodology to analyse data in order to inform policy and production.

In addition, workshops and presentations will equip relevant stakeholders to identify and/or use the statistical methodology to enhance productivity and development.

Please mark this date in your diaries.
A call for papers will soon be sent out and we anticipate your full participation by way of oral or poster presentations as well as filling other roles as we seek your assistance.
