Hi Janice, I vaguely remember that book as a little girl on my dad’s shelf.

A search for the book, I Remember It Well, saw four different authors publishing a book with the same title, but given the time frame you have indicated, I think this one may be the right one (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4139020-i-remember-it-well)

Researching it took me back in time to an era in the life of the author.

Incidentally, the title of the book was also from a song written by him.

Now deceased, his autobiography may impress upon you also. Hope your book and happy reading! The other books can be checked out at the following sites:

Hi Devon
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Forgive me but I only just saw this reply (2015). I tried the links to gave but unfortunately it was not any of those. The book was not a translated piece ftom french to english but rather about the authentic way of life for people living in the country in Jamaica. I will keep trying though. Again, many thanks.

P's. Thank you to the Administrator of this site.
