Graham family
by: Errol graham

I am very interested in the post by Rachel Graham... My grandfather was Jacob Graham and I understand he had a brother named Esau. My grandfather mother was a "Miss Alice" Who was from Cuba. I am trying to do a family trace and would be interested to get more information.

Hi Mark,

I came by your search and this website by accident. I live in the west midlands and like yourself am of jamaican heritage. I was wondering if perhaps you should contact BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL (in the west midlands) to see if they can help you maybe via the electorol roll. This is the list of registered occupants to address's in the uk. However they are likey to keep only Birmingham listing.Just as other Cities list their own too. They have a website. Just look under Birmingham city council. Good luck.

Mothers Farther
by: Mark Graham

All I know is that my mothers fathers surname was McDonold. As I mentioned in my previous email, my mother is very ill at the moment in a hospital in London.

My mother also told me that my farther was good with his hands, he was a builder, carpenter etc. The last time I talked with my mum, she said, he was building concrete swimming pools in Jamaica.

Is there not a government body in Jamaica, that I can contact to find my farther, he must have some records.

Regards

Mark

All Grahams are Family
by: Rachael Graham

I have been looking for some children Belonging to two women.
WILLEL AND ROSE. Both women worked at PAUL WALKER BAR IN SPANISHTOWN IN THE LATE 50'S VERY EARLY 60'S.
They would be in their late 60'S or 70'S by now. Both women had Children for My father. Because my father and mother was married at the time these women might have registered these Children in Secret. I know that there are Four Children out there that I may never know.
For this reason I have always been interested in any one by the Name GRAHAM.
Our Grahams are all from :: GUISE HILL, KINGSTON, LINSTEAD, ST THOMAS.
There was an uncle JACOB FROM LINSTEAD WITH 14 CHILDREN I KNEW WE WERE RELATED. THERE WAS AN ESAU & JACOB WHO WERE TWINS.
MY Grand Father and his two Brothers went to CUBA WHEN MY FATHER WAS IN HIS TEENS, THEY NEVER CAME BACK TO JAMAICA. They were ESTAN, WALTER & BURCHAM GRAHAM, Yes I too have quite a lot of family that I don't know, ONE UNCLE VICTOR WHO DIED A FEW YEARS AGO IN NEW JERSEY, HE HAD TWELVE CHILDREN, I ONLY KNOW ABOUT FIVE OR SIX, My other Uncle who was a Pastor and are still lives in that area Morant Bay to be exact, I am not sure how many Children he had.
If and when I find out I'll let you grahams out there know if we are Related

My Father Wilton Graham, somewhere in Jamaica
by: Mark Graham

Hi Kevin,

I am not sure where in Jamaica my father came from, and at the moment, my mother is not very well at present.

All I know from what my mother has discussed with me in the past, is that my fathers previous surname was Hamilton, as all family on his side are Hamiltons. My father has a sister in London by the name of Edith and I also have a uncle in london called Melton.

I also know that my father is a build, or was a build in Jamaica.

Regards

Mark
