my little paper boat -Traditional Jamaican song - do you know it?
(Gaithersburg, MD, USA)
Many years ago, maybe in late 50's early 60, they had a children's school choir competition in St Elizabeth, maybe in Maggotty or Balaklava (Balaclava).
I have been trying to find the name of this song see lyrics below. Please help name this song:
I had a little paper boat
A pretty little paper boat
And far away my boat did go
So far away, so far away, so far away my little boat did go. Rept.
I appreciate your help. Thanks!?Answer
I've been doing some digging for you, including making contact with the National library of Jamaica.
But to date, I've not been successful in ascertaining the full lyrics and name of that song.
I'm posting your question to our facebook page now to solicit feedback from our followers who might remember.
Stay close though, I'm hopeful we'll be able to find it soon.
