Irie! After 17 years,, I finally made it back to Jamaica! I spent 7 weeks on the the Great River!
Nature village farm is 40 acres of tropical rain forest surrounded by the river. There are 2 bars and restaurants, a football field, a huge top of the line conference center, cottages for rent and a nice family picnic area.
It is just about a half an hour drive from Montego Bay. It is going to be the most famous premiere event site in jamaica. I'm excited to let you know, as we are hosting Rastafest 2012 on 7/20_28/2012.

Set on a scenic spot on the Great River, is a sweeping collection of basketball, volleyball and netball courts, soccer pitches and a go-kart track.
With manicured lawns, bamboo groves and an open-air Jamaican-food restaurant on a deck overlooking the water makes it a marvelous spot to get away from it all. From DiscoverJamaica.com's Margaret Morris
Nature Village Farm is well worth a visit despite almost 2 miles of bad road. This very secluded site is almost encircled by the Great River with campsites, water and electricity.
As we went to press a restaurant and bar were almost complete and there were plans for kayaking on the river. The proprietor, Leroy "Duggo" Dunkley, a local Robin Hood is one of the main sponsors of SEBA, a champion football team.
He bulldozed a hill to build their home pitch - an international sized football field with hills on either side providing the grandstands. Weekly matches are attended by crowds of fans. Another site is sometimes used for open-air reggae festivals.
