Jamaica Independence Article/ Story Contest - Entry #07 - Remember When August 6, 1962

I was eleven and half years old (11 1/2). I was afraid of the Junkunoo as we followed the parade dancing in the streets to culminate at Molynes Road in Kingston.

My sister, Audrey, and the person dressed like a 😈 Devil almost had a face off!

The Independence celebration was heartwarming and made us so proud of our Island 🏝 πŸ’™ ❀️ even to this day.

One Love Forever ❀️ 😍 Pauline
