Resurrection/ Easter Sunday & Covid19
Grateful for each day that the Lord has made.
My thoughts and prayers are made for all that have lost love ones associated with coved19.
The area that I live in has not been impacted as much as populated inner cities.
As of yesterday, all 50 States have received a federal disaster declaration which has never happened before in this country!
My question is, what definition is being used to determine if the cause of death is covid19 or the seasonal flu?
My second question is what has been put in place in American territories such as Jamaica to assist ALL WORKERS that have been put out of work?
Is there an unemployment program in place for the thousands of Caribbean people?
As this pandemic continues, along with social distances practices, our love for one another and compassion should not be restricted but give a sense of more determination to be all that God has called us to be through Jesus Christ for whom we celebrate today.
Thanks for your feedback from Alabama!
Good to hear there there is no great impact in your neck of the woods, whew!
I can't speak to question #1, but regarding the 'American territories', I think you mean that in terms of continent, not so much territorial right, as Jamaica is an independent nation.
But I understand what you are asking, I haven't heard much yet, outside of individual countries making their own social assistance programs.
But then again, could every affected country approach the IMF and other multinational agencies at this time? Every country and agencies are in the same problem right now - I would think.
But then again, I don't know all about international politics.
Lets hear what others have to say.
