Steele family st mary

Looking for my partner's paternal father who's surname was Steele. His first name spelling is difficult, he was known as docky or something sounding similar.
He had two daughters named Barbara and Marcia, which would be siblings to my partner, not sure if the Steele is spelt correctly. They used to live in st Mary orange river area around late 1959, towards the 1960s anyone know Marcia or Barbara?
They may of married so have different surnames, thanks
