Jamaica Independence Article/ Story Contest - Entry #03 - THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE SIXTY YEARS
I love Jamaica for so many reasons. A people who embody great strength in spite of British rule. Jamaica possess a spirit of freedom and love. Always reaching out to others. Always sharing their resources with the nation and the world.
Jamaica sits under beautiful blue skies and crisp blue waters, which, to me, reflects that our God looks down on his people and protects them both day and night; in spite British rule.
The people of Jamaica are great entrepreneurs, which flows naturally! Oh how wonderful to look into your hands and produce everything from your lands. Producing, working creating, imagining, from your heart and soul!
My dear Jamaica, thank you for not bowing down, for not giving in, for refusing to die, in spite of British rule.
I Ike Jamaica for so many reasons. You are my brothers, and you are my sisters. You are so free to be the best you can be. I like Jamaica because you are protected both day and night by God! I like Jamaica because you grow many things in your own land.
Oh beautiful Jamaica, you fought, you suffered, you died, and now YOU LIVE………..
