Whenever you choose to travel, whether for business or on a vacation, your accommodations will always be of utmost importance. After all, this is where you will come to unwind after a long day of business meetings or explorations. Also, it normally is the first place you visit once you land in a new country and it really does have the ability to set the mood for the remainder of your trip.

When most persons are travelling to Jamaica, it is the norm for them to first consider an all-inclusive resort or hotel, especially those who are looking to have a completely luxurious, fully-catered experience. However, sometimes resorts do not provide the intimacy and privacy that many individuals and couples seek when vacationing. For individuals looking for a more personal touch, villas are a top choice. 

Some people, when they think of villas, think along the lines of basic and comfortable accommodations, but that can be far from the truth at times. Many villas offer a luxurious experience and offer their guest a much more private and intimate environment. So, if you are hoping to travel soon, here are some reasons you might rather have a villa:

1. Cost - most villas are much more affordable than a resort. While you will find that some of them can cost quite a bit more than resorts, the likelihood of finding a villa within your budget and that will fulfil your vacation needs is higher than a resort.


2. Own timing - when you stay at a villa, you do not need to worry about a schedule like you would need to if you were staying at a resort or hotel. You can get up and have breakfast at 2 am if that is what you desire.


3. Privacy - while hotels and resorts are normally packed with strangers, with a villa you will be able to have the entire property to yourself if you want to, for you and your travelling companions. Which allows for more intimacy and togetherness. 

One thing Montego Bay, Jamaica isn’t lacking, is resorts and admittedly they are some of the best on the island.  However, because the area is so overrun with hotels and resorts, it's easy to forget some of the awesome villas in the area. So, if you are looking for villas in Montego Bay, Jamaica, here is a list of some of the amazing villas available:

1. Chateau Gloria Luxury Villa

This gorgeous villa in Montego Bay is available for rental in its entirety. So if you choose to rent this villa you will have complete access to all the amenities. The villa features 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, an outdoor pool and bar, fully air-conditioned, housekeeping services and a personal chef.

They are located in Ironshore, Montego Bay, placing them at an ideal location for exploring restaurants, beaches and sites within Montego bay.

2. Everything Nice By The Sea

Located in Coral Gardens, this modern contemporary style villa is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. They are only 10 minutes away from the ever popping Montego Bay Hip Strip, just in case you want to escape your bubble of relaxation for some excitement.

3. Wild Orchid Paradise Spring Gardens

Experience one of a kind vacation at this villa. You will be surrounded by beautiful views, gardens and numerous fruit trees. The lawn space is perfect for having private events, and there is a tennis court and pool as well. The villa comes fully staffed so all your needs will be taken care of. No need to worry about transportation either as that is also provided for you.

4. Silent Waters Villa

This one of the larger villas in Montego Bay. With 8 bedrooms, a large sparkling pool, tennis court, and a hot tub it can comfortably host 20 persons. You don't have to worry about leaving you pets behind either, the villa is pet friendly.

This villa will provide you with all the privacy you need, as it is quite secluded. Not only that, it is conveniently located only 7 km away from Sangster’s International Airport. There is a pool, Wi-Fi access, air conditioning, parking and private grounds. This 3 bedroom villa, however, has a minimum stay of 7 nights.

6. Hils Court Villa

This charming old school villa possesses one thing that sets it apart from the rest, the views. Its hilltop location provides the best view of Montego Bay, the surrounding areas and the Caribbean Sea. Additionally, there is an outdoor pool and grill, air conditioning, cable TV, and Wi-Fi access.

7. Celebrity Villa Jamaica

Located in the residential community of Ironshore, St. James, this 7 bedroom villa provides spacious rooms and amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is 24-hour security, an infinity-edge pool, hot tub and air conditioning. There is a housekeeper and gardener available, and also a personal chef at an additional cost.
