Now if you have chosen to have a pleasant stay, meaning nothing too over the top, just good, food, good vibes and relaxation, then this is for you. Each parish in Jamaica is known for different things, so I am going to share with you the best place for a pleasant stay in Jamaica.

1. Negril

We have to start off with Negril, our island’s capital of chill. If you're looking for a tranquil beach retreat, Negril is your haven. The highlight here is the world-renowned Seven Mile Beach, where white sands and crystal-clear waters stretch as far as the eye can see. And without a doubt, must catch a view of the sunset from Ricks Cafe, it’s a spectacular sight you won’t want to miss. Negril is all about relaxation and the laid-back Jamaican vibe.

2. Port Antonio

Port Antonio, on the northeast coast, offers a quieter, more authentic experience. It's known for its untouched beaches, such as Frenchman's Cove and San San Beach. You can explore the hidden gems of Reach Falls and the enchanting Blue Lagoon. Port Antonio's charm lies in its serene atmosphere and the absence of large crowds. If you are into eco-tourism, this is the perfect place for you to stay, most accommodations in this area are eco-friendly.

3. Treasure Beach

Treasure Beach, which is on the southern coast, is a well-kept secret. It's known for its peaceful ambience and pristine beaches. Spend your days lounging on the sand, taking boat trips to Lover's Leap, or exploring the nearby Pelican Bar—a rustic wooden structure in the middle of the sea. Treasure Beach offers tranquillity away from the tourist crowds.

4. Runaway Bay

Located between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, Runaway Bay is an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and solitude. The beaches here are serene, and the coral reefs offer excellent diving opportunities. Green Grotto Caves and Cranbrook Flower Forest are nearby attractions for exploring nature and history.

5. Blue Mountains

For the hiking and nature enthusiast, the Blue Mountains beckon. The region offers breathtaking hiking trails, including the famous Blue Mountain Peak Trail. Along the way, you can explore coffee plantations and enjoy panoramic views. If you're a coffee lover, don't forget to savour a cup of Jamaica's renowned Blue Mountain coffee.

6. Ocho Rios

Located on the north coast, Ocho Rios is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The famous Dunn's River Falls is a natural wonder where you can climb the terraced cascades, surrounded by lush greenery. Explore Mystic Mountain for thrilling bobsled rides and zip-lining through the rainforest. For a more serene experience, visit the serene Blue Hole or Turtle River Falls and Gardens.

7. Montego Bay

Montego Bay is one of our top tourists destination, it boasts beautiful beaches, luxurious resorts, and a buzzing nightlife. Doctors Cave and Walter Fletcher beaches are perfect for sunbathing and water activities. Montego Bay's bustling Hip Strip is where you'll find an array of shops, restaurants, and bars. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the marine life in Montego Bay Marine Park.

8. Kingston

As the capital city, Kingston offers a different side of our island. It's a hub of culture, history, and music. Explore the Bob Marley Museum, visit the National Gallery of Jamaica, and take in the vibrant street art. Some of the best restaurants and parks are also located in Kingston. A visit to Devon House is a must.
