I am an American , living in Jamaica, and what I feel about casino's is that they are a form of recreation, and lots of people can go to those places with no problems, and go there in hopes to win, but know when they've spent enough trying for the big win.
I come out of a city with several casinos and I can tell you, it broke a lot of people, who had no clue they would become addicted, yes addicted to those machines, and that hope of becoming rich.
I think Jamaica has enough problems with poverty, and I only see bigger problems coming when you have people going there, spending money for living/food/housing, when they truly can’t afford to lose that money.
Do some research, but I truly think it would be a bad thing to bring casino's here to an already struggling country, lets look into creating more jobs, re: trash removal, re-cycling, etc. Lets look into the problems that are existing already, and not create anymore....just saying
