Experience has taught us that many resorts, restaurants and establishments that are not quite as popular, have some of the most amazing customer services. They simply were not on our radar. Usually, our initial experience is the first of many, and I think that is exactly what will happen after a vacation to The Cliff Hotel in Negril. But don’t just take my word for it. Let’s see what they have to offer.

Who Owns The Cliff Hotel?

The Cliff Hotel opened in December 2015 after the new owners, Mary Phillips, Avra Jain, Dalia Lagoa, and Joseph Del Vacchio invested in upgrading what was formerly called Moon Dance Cliffs. This turned out to be a good investment indeed as the Cliff Hotel received TripAdvisor’s 2021 Traveler’s Choice Best of the Best Award. They were also voted Best Luxury Hotel in the Caribbean TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards.

The outstanding customer service begins as you enter the resort you are greeted with refreshments and escorted to the beautiful and luxurious open-air lobby.

You’ll then be taken to your accommodations for the duration of your stay. You might be wondering, what are these accommodations like?

Accommodations At The Cliff Hotel

How Many Rooms Does The Cliff Hotel Negril Have?

This elegant and chic hotel consists of 33 suites, these include 2 stylishly decorated 1 bedroom villas, a 4 bedroom villa, and a 5 bedroom. All with a breathtaking view of the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean sea. Each accommodation entails:

• Air conditioning of course!
• Private balcony or terrace
• Bathrobes and slippers
• Housekeeping and room service
• Rooms are stocked with complimentary bottled water
• Other features include coffee or tea maker, iron, hairdryer, and safe, among others.

What Are The Dining Options At The Cliff?

At The Cliff, you will get to dine at the Zest Restaurant on the property. At Zest’s you will be able to dine on authentic Jamaican foods, prepared by award-winning chef Cindy Hutson and her second, Delius Shirley.

Expect local favourites like jerk chicken, ackee, and saltfish or deserts like rum cake. The restaurant also accepts special requests and will prepare meals that are not on the menu when requested. 

If you are looking for privacy, the hotel also offers in-room dining and will set up private dining experiences for guests upon request.

Everyone loves a good drink and at the Cliff, you will find three awesome bars, ready and waiting to serve you a glass of whatever your taste buds desire.

• The swim-up pool bar is perfect for those looking to multitask and enjoy the pool while grabbing a deliciously frozen “dirty banana”.

• Zest Bar - offers an enticing mix of both worlds! With its chic interior and beautiful hanging lights, which extends to an enchanting clifftop terrace, the choice of an indoor or outdoor experience is at your disposal. Give their signature cocktail the “Cliffhanger” a try.

• The Cliff Deck Bar - right here you can have a relaxing lounge on the deck and watch as dolphins play and boats drift by while sipping on your favourite drink.

Is The Cliff Hotel Negril All-Inclusive?

While this hotel is not an all-inclusive hotel they do offer a range of packages that will allow you to eat and drink without worrying about the cost of each meal. Also, if you are travelling with children, all those who are under the age of 12 meal will cost only 50% of the regular charge.

Amenities At The Cliff Hotel

What do many vacationers look forward to at any hotel or resort? A glorious and relaxing spa experience and the Cliff hotel has just that in store for you.

At the Kiyara Spa, you will have a wide selection of massages and body and facial care services to choose from, all of which could be performed in the private space of your room or on the breathtaking cliffs. Here is a list of some of the services offered:

• Vital Reflexology
• Balancing Massage
• Aloe-Mint Skin Soother
• Ocean Revitalizer
• Radiant Glow Aroma Facial
• Nature Pure Botanical Facial

There is also a beauty salon on the property to provide you with some extra pampering. For your health and wellness, there is a fitness centre and a yoga pavilion perfect for meditation. There is even the option of scheduling a private yoga instructor. With the personal wellness package, there is the option of combining your favourite treatments and services into your wellness package.

And as the name suggests, don't forget to take a dive from the cliffs into the plunging turquoise depths of the Caribbean Sea.

Not only is the Cliff resort the perfect destination for romantic getaways, honeymoons and family vacations, it is also a dream location for a destination wedding in paradise. They offer numerous packages that cater to arranging the perfect wedding or romantic experience for you and your lover.
