COVID-19 The Killer Virus

by Lorna Duncan
(Reading, Berks.UK)

Well, I am behaving as if I got it and treating everyone as a carrier.

At first, I was flipped, but now I am calm, and telling myself we will get over this deadly virus. Reading town is the biggest county in Berkshire UK.

Right now a lot of businesses are closing their doors. The older folks are going into isolation (hibernating) in their abodes and those with underlying health issues including myself.

I am not worrying myself, but I do have issues with some people because they are extremely selfish. They purchased everything in the food stores - nothing is left for the next person.

I do not feel good within myself that my neighbour is hungry and my larder is full. Guess it is human nature (the selfish ones). The school will be closing on Friday - may not open again until September 2020.

Today's figure 104 deaths for UK. London is the hot spot, SW1 and SW2. Around Westminster. The Govt. of Mr Boris Johnson says it will do whatever it take to see us through this crisis.

I am a pragmatist, therefore I'm living in hope.
One LOVE, one GOD, he will see us through.

Wellesley's Note

Hey Lorna,

Great hearing from you my friend!
Especially at a time like this.

104 deaths is scary!

And yes my friend, unfortunately crisis times seems to bring the best and worst of us. And now we are seeing a lot of the worst.
The world, we discussed earlier, will never be the same after this.

Thanks again for reaching out to give us an update. Stay safe my friend, and all the best to you and yours.

Thinking of others
by: Cheri Avery Black

Thank you so much for pointing out how important it is to think of others. We are all interconnected and impacted by each other. Hopefully, this virus circumstance is helping remind us of that.
