Their meal plans come in two packages: an all-inclusive group plan with your room rate or an a la carte so you pay for whatever you eat.

You’ll find this comfortable, budget-friendly hotel in the heart of Seven Mile Beach. Fun Holiday Beach resort is a cheaper alternative for families on vacation in Negril, Jamaica. With European and All-Inclusive plans, you can decide what vacation package better suits your family.

Sometimes, what happens with smaller accommodations is that you are left in charge of getting yourself to their location from the airport. But with Fun Holiday round-trip transportation is available with one of the transportation services they have been partnering with for years.

Travellers Beach Resort Negril is centrally located in Negril. While it is a smaller resort and you won’t have all the amenities of the more luxurious options, it definitely has great vacation offerings.

But the good thing about smaller resorts is that there are fewer people which means more privacy.

Entertainment in Jamaica is standard and Traveller’s Beach does not disappoint.

  • Karaoke - Every Sunday at 8 pm
  • Acoustic Session - Every Tuesday from 6 pm to 8 pm
  • 3 Little birds band - Thursdays from 6 pm to 8 pm

We just can’t get enough of Azul Beach Resort. They considered the needs of their smaller guests from the very beginning. We often get a complimentary drink when we get to our resort. So, why not have complimentary sparkling wine, chocolate milk or a smoothie for the kids? Children on vacation at Azul can also head to the Azulitos Kids Club for ages 3 to 12 or swim in the kids-only pool for ages 4-12. Non-motorised water sports include Hobie cats, canoes, kayaks and boogie boards. At least on one evening of the trip, I would recommend a family dinner on the beach.

5. Beaches

If you know anything of the Sandals Resorts brand, then you know that its family resort chain, Beaches, has thought of it all. Not only is there a kids club, lazy river and waterpark, but if you need assistance with your children while on vacation, then you could request one of the internationally certified nannies to help you.

Don’t worry, the team members at the kid’s club are internationally qualified too. It comes at an additional cost but the service you receive far surpasses the price you will have to pay. Usually, the programs for children do not really cater to anyone above 12 and then you are stuck with a bored teenager. Not at beaches though, there is the Trench Town Arcade, Xbox arcade and the adolescent nightclub, Club liquid.

Beaches does an excellent job of catering to all the members of the family so while the nanny is with your children the adults can have a romantic candlelit dinner to celebrate a successful trip to Jamaica.

Also, I don’t think anyone wants to miss the Sesame Street parade!

6. Royalton Negril

I would say a waterpark is a vital part of any family vacation, and Royalton Negril has a waterpark and a designated kid’s pool. And if you are travelling with family members who would rather skip the vacation with kids, have them stay at the neighbouring Hideaway at Royalton instead.

That way, they can have the option of coming over to Royalton Negril or having a day of adult fun – the best of both worlds.
