The Villas
The Villas are a magnificent, yet often elusive, mix of five-star style and genuine island friendliness, located on Negril's world-famous Seven Mile Beach in Jamaica. This collection of six spectacular seaside homes, a favourite refuge of Hollywood stars and music industry icons, speaks to individuals who value luxury in a new way.
The Villas' brand of luxury is centred in experiences, whether it's the number of steps to the beach or the number of fresh-caught lobsters your own chef prepares for dinner. Claim a shady nook, stroll the beach, go sailing on a Hobie Cat, try paddle boarding, or go sea kayaking. Arrange for a small party of two to go on a private catamaran cruise. It's all about idling away the days at The Villas in joyous pursuit of low-key pleasure.
Visitors have free access to the nearby Couples Swept Away's Sports Complex. This remarkable resort, located just minutes from The Villas, includes a fully equipped gym with cardio and weight training equipment, a 25-meter lap pool, tennis, squash, and racquetball courts, plus so much more. Please keep in mind that guests must be at least 18 years old to enter the facility.
Excursions to some favourite spots on the island, such as YS Falls, Dolphin Cove Negril, Appleton Rum Estates, Blue Mountain Coffee Plantation Tour, and the Bob Marley Museum can be arranged if you are looking to explore Jamaica. Each villa is fully staffed, including a private chef, butler/bartender, and housekeeper.
The concierge will drop by in the morning to make arrangements for shopping, activities, and off-site excursions. Your personal chef will delight you with freshly prepared meals throughout the day, while your butler/bartender will keep your drinks fresh all day, whether you're lounging by the pool or wading in the ocean surf.
The Beach
The Beach is an intimate boutique retreat in Negril, that embraces the style and simplicity of laid-back island life. Local artwork, louvred windows, and breezy private verandas add to the resort's relaxed, beach-chic vibe. Above all, it is The Beach's gracious staff that treats each guest as if they are a treasured friend.
The Beach’s chic design combines rustic elements and local art with modern comforts, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living. There are sixteen Caribbean-style suites that have low-slung wood beds, large louvred windows, and a private veranda with lounge chairs or hammocks.
This sun-drenched oceanfront retreat is located on the most prime stretch of Negril's pristine Seven Mile Beach and offers endless sunshine, soft sand, and warm turquoise water. Snuggle up in a shady spot, stroll the beach for activities such as glass-bottom boat rides, sailing, and snorkelling, or savour the island way of life in Negril's lively restaurants and bars. Guests can also arrange private catamaran cruises for groups.
Guests of The Beach have also complimentary access to Couples Swept Away's amenities such as restaurants, spas and fitness centres. You can also choose to explore Jamaica by going on excursions to Appleton Rum Estates, climbing the YS Falls, and learning about reggae history at the Bob Marley Museum. If you want to spend the day exploring the West End, a complimentary shuttle to our sister resort, The Cliffs, is available twice daily.
The Cliffs
With its laid-back, authentically Jamaican vibe, The Cliffs on Negril's legendary West End rejuvenates mind, body, and soul. This intimate Caribbean retreat has three villas and four garden suites with private verandas, creating a tranquil setting for sunbathing by the pool, ocean swimming, snorkelling, and savouring fresh island cuisine.
In addition, daily breakfast is now included with each reservation, so you'll have plenty of energy for island exploration.
Each villa sleeps four people and has a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, one of which has a private outdoor shower. Enjoy the stunning view of the cliffs and the Caribbean Sea. Take the ladder down to the reef and go for a swim or snorkel. Sunbathe on the stone-cut deck. Plunge into the revitalizing freshwater pool at the cliff's edge.
As with the other two Idle Awhile properties, guests at the Cliff have access to the amenities at Couples Swept Away and can also arrange activities off property such as excursions and cruises.
If you want to spend the day on the beach, a complimentary shuttle to The Beach is available twice daily.
Each Idle Awhile Negril property offers a completely unique experience, so regardless of whichever you decide is best suited for you, you will be guaranteed a memorable vacation experience.
