Good day to you. What is cost of submitting land survey to obtain title here in Jamaica?

RESPONSE: by Deon Clarke

Good day to you my friend. Thank you for visiting our website and for this relevant and timely question!

From your question, it appears that you would like to have your land surveyed in order to obtain your title? And your are desirous of knowing the cost for this service, correct?

To be quite frank, the cost is not something that is fixed.

First of all, you would need to obtain the services of a commissioned land surveyor. The cost of course would be dependent on a number of factors such as location, terrain, size of the land and so forth. With that said, the cost would come down to what you and the surveyor mutually agree on.

Once your land has been surveyed, you would need to have the surveyor’s report submitted along with all other relevant documents to obtain your title. Here again, the associated costs might vary depending on what information you have available and what you might need to get additionally.

You can check out this link for an article on this site that gives you information on how to obtain your title:

I would suggest as well that you check with the National Land Agency who would be more than happy to provide you with a list of any title related fees that you may require. Please also see link below with fees. They will also be able to guide you through the process.

Please see their contact information below for your reference:

Land Titling Services- 93 Hanover Street, Kingston, Tel: 876-750-LAND (5263) or 876-946-LAND (5263) or 876-922-8535-7.

For additional land services, you may use the same contact number, it is the general contact for all locations island wide.

I do hope this information provided was helpful in answering your question. Please do let us know how you progress. I wish you all the best in your endeavors!
