Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth, is the South Coast destination when you want to have a relaxing vacation away from the excitement that is usually in resort towns. Treasure Beach doesn’t have big chain resorts and all-inclusive accommodations. What you will find are boutique hotels and villas galore. One of the newest in the bunch is Lashings Hotel.

Accommodations

Lashings Hotel has quite a few accommodation styles to choose from. There is a boutique hotel, beach club, private villas and a lakeside cottage.

  • Boutique Hotel - The boutique hotel has 11 rooms with en suite bathrooms. Some rooms have stunning views of both the Lashings branded pool and the Caribbean Sea below.
  • Beach Club - Located 10 minutes away from the main resort, the beach club is located on Calabash Bay Beach. It has 8 double bedrooms and is suitable for 16 guests. Here you will have access to private pools, a secluded beach area, a bar and cookout facilities. Staying at the beach club also gives you access to the facilities at Lashings' main property including the restaurant, bar and pool.

The good thing about Lashings is that not only does it have many styles of accommodations, but it also has more than one location. So, if you want more seclusion than the 11 room boutique hotel or the 8 room beach club gives, then maybe the villas or cottage would be more suited for you. 

One villa is located on the main property on the hill overlooking the area. The other two though are off property, beachside villas. There is Turtles Nest in Old Wharf and La Sirena in Billy’s Bay.

Villa or cottage accommodations give you access to the main Lashings property as well free shuttles to and from your property to the main property. If you would like to visit other restaurants in the area as well, then transportation can be organized for you just the same.

Food & Drink

  • Treetop Bar and Grill - get your favourite drink to accompany your burger, wrap, fish and chips or sandwich. The first Sunday of every month is “Jazz the way you are” their Jazz night which begins at 4:30 PM.
  • Take Away Pizza - The pizzeria not only caters to persons on property, but the wider community can send in orders for pick up or delivery as well. So if you happen to be staying at another resort you still experience a little bit of Lashings.

Remember Lashings is not an all-inclusive and so meals and drinks are at a separate cost.

Little Lashlings

I know I waited a while to say, but Lashings does welcome children. Their vacation needs are well thought out too, with access to babysitters, cots, high chairs, and children's meals on request. They can never be bored with a bunch of activities to choose from.

  • Pools
  • Boat Trips
  • Zip Wiring
  • Snorkelling
  • Cycling

Their trip will be just as enjoyable for them as it will be for you.

Activities

Call ahead and Lashings will arrange as many of the following activities as you would like.

Trips are at a separate cost.

Events

Lashings properties can be used for your private events too. Celebrations such as weddings or birthdays are accommodated. In fact, the beach club is available for exclusive hire.

Art For Sale

You can purchase pieces of art either online or on your trip. You can choose from a selection of:

  • Ceramics
  • Contemporary Pieces
  • Jamaican Legend Pieces
  • Local Art
  • Memorabilia
  • Modern Art

Day Passes

If you would just love to stay for only a day, then you would have access to the pool and all other facilities as well as access to a single room which is quite uncommon for day passes.

VIP

Although it isn’t all-inclusive with many VIP perks and exclusive restaurants and bars, Lashings still caters to those guests who are frequently staying at their accommodations. You will be considered a priority for parking, booking and room upgrades.

To get this, you must apply in person to become a part of the select few who are granted a position each year.

Community Outreach

Lashings’ is also very active in the community outreach of Treasure Beach. They are sponsors of the local football team as well as the angelfish recycling scheme, just two of the endeavors they are affiliated with. If you would like to get involved, just ask for more information on ways to do so on your visit.
