I think you'll like this!

But first let me apologize to you... I had this interview to share with you but have been putting it off, or should I say, addressing bigger priorities.

But, better late than never they say.

THE BACKGROUND:

One of my ardent site fans, Janice, who happens to be the host of Jamaican Diaspora radio, has been poking me for months to have this interview with then.

You can visit (her page here)

Well I finally made the time and we did it some weeks ago!

I have been on a few interviews before on live radio but not online.

In addition to the fact that this is first internet based interview, it also the first one I think I was ever going to reach such a huge audience!

So as you can imagine, there was a little nerves in the beginning, lol.

But you'll see that I got better as the interview goes on though - I think :-) ***smile***

It was hosted by Janice's associate Chris Daley.

WHAT'S FOR YOU?

I am positive that there is a lot to glean from this by you though.

They quizzed me on a number of topics, including:

  • My background
  • The history of my website
  • My suggestion on special places to visit in Jamaica
  • The threat of Cuba's tourism to Jamaica
  • And my hope or wish for my country.

So yes, you'll be getting some great recommendations, while getting to know me a bit more well.

And chances are, you might be hearing my voice for the very first time - with my slight lisp :-).

Anyways, please enjoy. I hope you find much value in it!

Here is the interview

And please don't hesitate to share!

As usual, I welcome your comments below.

Awesome interview
by: James Thomas Simister

Yo Wellesly, your voice{lisp include)is music to my ears.

The places you spoke of,brought sweet memories back of my time in the Peace Corp, teaching handicapped boys woodworking at the School of Hope in Papine.

And of later as a wood wright aboard Schooner Topaz as we worked and sailed around the Island from Kingston dry dock,to MoBay,Ochos Rios,Discovery Bay and finally to Port Antonio.

My favorite beach was not the tourist places, but rather Hellshire Beach, more laid back and where the locals hung out.

Your love of your homeland in all of it's glory is revealed in your words filled with passion, love and much inner beauty.

You truly are a gift to your people. And on that subject,it is most important your people on this Garden of Eden makes me smile and get filled with warm love.Cool runnings, level vibes and blessings for you and your loved ones,James
