Getting around Jamaica, from town to town, city to city can be a bit tedious sometimes. Public buses and taxis are the main methods of transportation, which can involve waiting in busy transportation centres for a pretty long time, rushing to grab a seat and the uncomfortableness of squeezing yourself in a tightly enclosed space with quite a few other passengers.

While private taxi services in Jamaica are not common all across the island, they are extremely popular in the city of Kingston and parishes in and around the corporate area. So, if you are looking to get from place to place without the hassle of dealing with public transportation, here is a list of 10 taxi services in Jamaica that will be of great help.

To book a pick up with their service is quite simple, you can visit their website and enter your necessary details such as where you would like to get picked up and where’s your destination drop off, your phone number, name and any additional details that will help the driver to identify you. You can also contact them by phone or WhatsApp.
They will follow up by sending you a text with the cost of your journey and your driver’s name.

2. On-Time Taxi Service
This is one of the most popular taxi services in Kingston and has been operating for over 18 years. Their services include pick up and drop off from any location, school pick up and drop off, office staff rates, courier services, airport transportation, schedule pickups, emergency pickups and more.
While they mostly operate in Kingston if requested they will bring you wherever you need to go right across the island. They operate 24/7. They are located at 12 Burlington Ave, Kingston 10.

6. Uber Jamaica
If you are anywhere from the western region, you already know about Uber and their app. In 2021,they began offering taxi services in Jamaica, but just for Kingston in its environs. One great thing with Uber is that they allow you to book up to 30 days in advance and their app is convenient and reliable.
7. Triple S Tours & Taxi Services
They are located at Pineapple place, 146 Main St, Ocho Rios. they provide a variety of transportation services but mainly airport pick-ups and drop-offs, along with tours and excursions.

This company has been in business for over three years and offers its services throughout St. Ann and nearby areas. They are located at 1 Evelyn Street Ocho Rios Jamaica and operate 24/7.
