The occasion was a holiday.(Not sure of exact date, but it was two summers ago). I had this list of all the things I wanted to do while I was on holiday in Jamaica.

This list I handed to the person who was going to be taking me around and he said “No Problem”.

So on one of the days he came to pick us up, we were supposed to be going, Ricks Café (which we did go).

So anyway we are driving for hours in the car and the driver said I would like to try one place first, and I said ok I was happy just to be on a tour of Jamaica.

So we are all in the car me holding on tight as we were going round some scary mountain road. Everybody laughing and joking around.

O by the way I was with my cousin, her man, a friend, and my friend (who is in the picture) all of whom are Jamaican except for me.

Any how the driver says “we dey ya now”. I looked up an in front of me was ZOO. Well to say I was vex was an understatement.

I had such a hissy fit. “What do I want to go to a zoo for I said? I have been to a zoo many times with my children and grandchildren.

Isn’t nothing exciting about seeing animals? With that everyone in the car shouted “well we never have” So reluctantly and humbly I got out of the car.

The Zoo (Jamaica Zoo) was actually closed at that particular moment, but the zoo keeper said we could look around only with him.

The look on everyone’s face was priceless as they all never seen those particular animals in real life!

My friends thanked me for the places I took them as they said they probably would never have had the opportunity.

I would have to say that was one of the best seasons I have had in Jamaica.
