Are you an adventure junkie? We have something for you, too. While you may have amusement parks back home, what we have are what we call adventure parks. A fitting name for the experience you will have at these parks. Think rock climbing, ATV riding, ziplining, dune buggies etc etc. Even as a local, adventure parks are some of my favourite places.

Are you still unsure where to go? These are our top 5 adventure parks in Jamaica, at least in my opinion.

Yaaman Adventure Park

Yaaman Adventure Park has been home to numerous historical and cultural landscapes since the 18th Century when it was known as Prospect Plantation. Visit this wonderful Jamaican adventure park, Yaaman, to enjoy the great outdoors and its many attractions. In addition, you can take an ATV trip over muddy terrain, explore the secrets of the secluded river, or perhaps, spend time observing birds from the best vantage point. Simultaneously, you anticipate a significant encounter with a very intelligent sea species, the dolphin!

Mystic Mountain

Mystic Mountain is a popular rainforest adventure park destination in Ocho Rios. Located in the heart of Ocho Rios and only 5 minutes from Dunn's River Falls and the cruise ship port, this environmentally friendly destination offers a unique range of adventure tours suitable for all ages. Explore the forest's rich biodiversity, see the shimmering river currents, or just enjoy the stunning city vistas. Visitors can engage in a range of activities at the adventure park, such as sledding, ziplining, and the sky explorer.

JamWest Motorsports and Adventure Park

JamWest Motorsports and Adventure Park was established in 2003 as a replacement for JamWest Speedway. The park, which is 28 minutes outside Jamaica's "casual capital," Negril, is home to the largest speedway in the region. They offer an attraction called "arrive and drive," making them the only drag and circuit track in the Caribbean. If you're searching for an adventurous experience that will excite your spirit or a cosy get-together in the centre, Jamwest Adventure Park is the perfect trip for you.

Chukka

The first—and only—nature adventure park of its sort in the Caribbean is Chukka Jamaica.

They offer the whole family exciting experiences and chances to explore the island of Jamaica, taking great care in providing a balanced mix of activities that highlight the beauty and diversity of each “region” on the island.

Your adventure is purely up to you to decide. Chukka Jamaica provides ATV Excursions, Zip Line Canopy, Catamaran Cruises, Blue Hole Adventures, Horseback Experiences, River Tubing, Kayaking, Bamboo Rafting and Waterfall Expeditions.

Camp Irie Adventures

On over 600 acres near Appleton in the countryside of St. Elizabeth, is where you’ll find Camp Irie Adventures. The site, encircled by a dense jungle, was originally a lime plant and a bauxite mine in the early 1970s. Almost 20 years ago, it was repurposed for agricultural and ecotourism activities. The Appleton countryside's winding rivers, undulating pastures, verdant hills, and beautiful vistas provide the ideal setting for all of our IRIE experiences. Take in the excitement of a laser fight, the exhilaration of an ATV ride, the past of architectural remains, or a stroll along rural pathways.
