CastlePointVilla Retreat - Tower Isle 10 mins from Ocho Rios

My family and I had no idea where we wanted to stay when booking our holiday, we did not particularly want to stay in all inclusive as after 2 days it can get boring!

We wanted to feel what it was like to LIVE in Jamaica, if only for a short time. I mentioned this to a friend in work and she said "OMG you have to go to CastlePoint, it is just like home from home, you will be well cared for- I did not want to leave".

Well she was right, soon as we entered the Villa we felt so much at home, Ron and his wife looked after us so well.

The rooms were amazingly large, we had all the comforts of home, the breakfasts were to die for, in fact I put on too much weight, but I just could not say no to Sophie's cooking, who by the way also made sure we did not forget our towels for the beach, creams etc.

They even lent us a telephone so that we could contact them if needing transport from the beach or shopping, nothing was too much trouble.

In the evenings we could all go out together to the local bars and restaurants, but if we felt we needed a break from the young teenagers, they were quite happy at the Villa knowing the proprietors live on the premises.

We have already booked to go back next year as we did not see all we wanted to see, even though Ron helped us so much with suggestions of where to visit on the island and arranging the transport, we even stayed in Negril at one of their network villas as they call it, to enjoy watching the Sunset at Rick's Cafe and the beach.


We were also lucky enough to witness a wedding taking place in the beautiful gardens, it was so romantic and private, the Villa looked beautiful, we were kindly invited, which of course we accepted!

We hope to visit Portland next year at another of her Network Villas - 2 weeks was not enough - next year it will 3!!!

We have always stayed at all inclusive, but now realize what you are missing.
