Contest Entry #032 - I am coming home to Jamaica
Hello
It all began in 1990 not too long after a furious visit from hurricane Gilbert to Jamaica.
I just started working at a travel agency and I so wanted to visit this beautiful country. So my father and I headed out on our journey.
And since then I have been fortunate to have been to the island 25 times!
From my very first visit I have always felt the presence of my dearly departed mother.
After the many pictures taken not only by a camera but pictures installed in my mind I have found this beautiful country so rich in colors, scents and memories that will always stay close in my heart forever.
I can remember watching a movie filmed in Jamaica starring Woopie Goldberg. Her words could not of said it any better, she said that "God was present" she could feel this aura around her and I truly feel it just the way she had said.
The pictures I have entered are of a visit to Rosehall where the white witch was said to be seen.
I have never agreed with what Annie (white witch of Rosehall) stood for but the history of this amazing place was quite different.
The other pictures that I took were of two men walking along the beach and playing their instruments. I do hope that you will enjoy my submissions.
