Ironshore Montego Bay | Whitter Village

If you are visiting Montego Bay, being in Ironshore is something that will be quite hard to avoid. Ironshore Montego Bay is considered one of the most expensive areas in the city. From resorts, restaurants, gyms and casinos to some of the most beautiful homes in Montego Bay, Ironshore has it all.

Whitter Village Ironshore

Whitter Village is a huge shopping centre located in Ironshore, Montego Bay. It is definitely the one-stop place to get everything you need for those living in the area, and even those outside the area will visit some of the unique businesses operating there.

The cleanliness, generally quiet and beautiful cobblestone walkways, makes Whitter village more than a shopping centre, it is an experience all of its own. Here are some of the types of business you will find there:

• Restaurants
• Supermarkets
• Pharmacies
• Casino
• Gym
• Bowling Alley
• Spas and wellness centres
• Shoes and Clothing Stores
• Canadian Embassy
• Appliance stores and so much more.

Accommodations in Ironshore Montego Bay

Ironshore is one of the most popular areas in Montego Bay to find luxurious accommodations. Some of the best Airbnb in Montego Bay and Jamaica at large are located in Ironshore. Some of them come with a full staff, pool and gym amenities as well. If you are not looking for an Airbnb you will also find gated communities that provide apartments for long-term and short-term rentals as well.

And of course, there are the hotels and resorts in and around Ironshore as well. Two of the major resorts in Ironshore Montego Bay are:

Hotel Riu

More than 800 rooms in this all-inclusive, 24-hour hotel in Montego Bay provide you with all the conveniences you need to make your stay memorable, including minibars, drink dispensers, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and many other services.

Visit one of the five pools, where you can unwind completely on the sun deck and water loungers, or make use of the private beach area. the best Italian and Asian delicacies, as well as incredible American buffet breakfasts with live cooking stations.

The Splash Water World water park, the daily activity programs like RiuFit, live performances, club parties, sports like diving and kayaking, and the gym are all options. You can relax at the Renova spa as well.

Sandals Royal Caribbean

The only resort in Jamaica with a private offshore island and a Thai restaurant. There are Beautiful, unique over-the-water Butler Villas with Infinity Pools and Over-the-Water Butler Honeymoon Bungalows. 21 superb 5 Star Global Gourmet dining establishments, 9 at Sandals Royal Caribbean & 12 at Sandals Montego Bay.

Enjoy daily afternoon tea in the British way. or British pubs that provide a genuine pub dining experience in a welcoming setting. They have magnificent suites with Tranquility Soaking Tubs for Two and Swim-Up Crystal Lagoon Suites that will take your breath away.

Restaurants to visit

There are quite a few restaurants located in Ironshore, most of which are located at the Whitter Village shopping centre. There are fast food restaurants such as KFC, Pizza Hut and Birdshack, and health food restaurants such as Wrap and Roll where you can get a range of natural juices, salads, wraps and so much more.

The Sunshine Foods restaurant is great for those who enjoy the local cuisine. Other restaurants you can try are Little Panda Express and Ralph Next Level.

Things to do in Ironshore

Go bowling! The Jamzone Bowling alley located in the Whitter Village shopping centre is the only bowling alley in Montego Bay. Grab a friend or two and go have some fun.

Go Gaming. The Treasure Hunt gaming lounge and casino is the number one of its kind in Montego Bay. The ambience is great and rumour has it that their payouts are the highest on the island.

Yard Skating Rink, located in Ironshore, is one of only two skating rinks in Montego bay. Perfect for those who love to skate or even those who are just learning. Plus it's a great chill spot to hang out with friends.

If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown, Ironshore Montego Bay is most definitely where you want to be to conduct business, enjoy a good meal and have some fun.
