PriceSmart serves over three million cardholders through 50 owned and operated warehouse clubs in 12 countries and one U.S. territory, despite being based in California. Sol and Robert Price, co-founders of The Price Club, founded PriceSmart; Robert Price serves as chairman of the board.
Pricesmart opened its first location in Jamaica in 2003 at Red Hills Rd, Kingston. Pricesmart Fresh Bakery was opened in 2021in Montego Bay. In 2022 they opened their second location in Portmore.

- Affordable costs - Their purchasing team travels the world searching for just one or two high-quality items in each category at the lowest possible price. PriceSmart Platinum Members earn 2% rewards on most purchases, up to a maximum of $500.00 per year.
- Online shopping and curbside pickup - PriceSmart has created a very convenient shopping service with their Members' comfort and safety in mind. Members can use Click & Go to order online through PriceSmart.com and pick up their purchases at their preferred Club.
- Quality products - When you see a Member's Selection product, you can be confident that it is of equal or higher quality than the most well-known brands on the market, but at a lower price. PriceSmart guarantees your complete satisfaction with its private label items. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund.
- Ready-to-eat food options - Every week, new products and variety in ready-to-eat meals! Try their freshly baked bread and cakes at your local PriceSmart Bakery. They also make custom cakes for any occasion! Get a box or two of their famous artisan donuts, baked fresh every day. And take advantage of free samples during your club visit!
- Limited offer specials - They frequently have special products that are only available at their Clubs for a limited time. You'll find home, seasonal, and even luxury items in their aisles!
- Your membership includes an eye exam- For you and three members of your family. Just visit a PriceSmart Optical Centre near you.
- 30-day money-back guarantee for most items - PriceSmart is so confident in the quality of their products that they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the majority of them. Their buyers conduct extensive research and quality control on all of the products that they offer.
They only bring one or two varieties from each category in order to have the most control over their quality and price. If a Member is not completely satisfied with a product, they may return it and receive a refund.

Unlike the two Pricesmart club locations in Portmore and Kingston, the PriceSmart Fresh Bakery location in Montego bay does not require a membership.
Additionally, you can receive immediate returns on your membership fee on your first day of shopping at either clubs.
